My second cousin

Today, I would like to talk about one of my closest familiar, my second cousin Benjamín.

As usual in a big family, some members of different generation were born in the same period of time, and that is the case of me and Benjamín. We both were born in 2001, but he is older than me for about 7 months.

He is the only grandson of my aunt Teresa and the only kid of my cousin Carlos. For him, my late grandpa is his great grandfather. In few words, we have a generational difference, but we have the same age.

As kids from the same family, we know each other since I have memories and we did everything together. I remember how every Sunday afternoons after visiting my grandparent's grave I visited him to spend all the evenings playing footbal at his yard or in the street outside his house; later when we grew up, playing PES (a.k.a. Winning Eleven) or WWE Smackdown videogame on his PS2; and when we get adolescence we played CoD Black Ops I and II on his PS3. Mostly of summer vacations both families traveled together and spent our days swimming at the beach and visiting the most popular places of every town and city we stayed.

He studied in the emblematic highschool Salesiano Alameda and for this I sometimes joke him calling him "el curita". Although we study near each one, our schedule made difficult to us to meet while we were studying, but often I see him in family reunions and some visits we do each other.

As only child, I think that he is a little miserly and conceited, but indeed he is a good person. He likes to joke me as I like too, and we laughed the most part of the time we are together. For me, he is like my "lost" brother after share all this time since we were born.

Nowadays, he's finishing his History degree and getting ready for laboral life. I only hope he will pass everything and we can share more good moments and memories in the future.

Well, hoping you had a great weekend I say goodbye, see you on next wednesday!
