A reading recommendation.
Hi, reading! How was your week? I'll hope that it was great.
Today I´m going to talk about a book to recommend you.
In my wide and long collection of books I have a few that are my favorite readings. One of them is "El Caballero de la Armadura Oxidada" (in English, The Knight in Rusty Armor) written by Robert Fisher. Its a fiction novel set in medieval age and follows the story of "the Knight" on his search to find out himself and take of his rusty armor after his wife demanded him to take it off to see his face again because she forgot it after he never stop wearing the armor for a long time, the reason why the armor is rusty. Even his son can't remember his face. Before this situation, the main charachter began a travel to take off his armor with help from Merlín, a squirrel and a bird called Rebeca -beside anothers second characters- for recover his family and discover who he is behind the armor. Actually, the book belongs to self-help genre, but when I read it I didn't notice that. I maybe was 8 or 10 years old when I read the book and when I finished it, some tears falls. This reading leave a mark on my person, and certainly it helps to build my personality.
Another reading from my favourite ones is "República Nazi de Chile" (in English, Nazi Republic of Chile) written by Chilean Carlos Basso. Its a thriller books that narrate the fiction-history story about the world under Nazi control after his victory in Second World War. The story, situated in 1960's Chile, follows Peter Hoffman's investigation before he finds out where he is on, in a complot to kill Hitler in his visit to the capital city of Chilean Nazi Republic, Nueva Núremberg before known as Osorno. On this, he finds out a biological danger that it would destroy the country and the world with it. I find this book looking for readings in a book fair, and its flashy title took my attention. For me, this book answer my question "what if ...?" before a possible Nazy victory and what it would happen with Chile.
Hope you would read my suggestions. Wish you a great weekend.
See you on next post!
